Similac Gold 3 is a new and improved infant formula for children from 1 to 3 years old. Directions for using Similac Gold 3: Use and feed your baby as directed by your doctor. Proper hygiene, handling, and storage are all important when preparing infant formula. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious harm. Infant formula powder is not sterile and should not be given to premature infants or those with compromised immune systems unless under the guidance and supervision of a doctor. Wash the bottle and all utensils, then boil them for five minutes. Set aside on a clean surface. In a separate container, boil water for five minutes and allow it to cool. Pour the appropriate amount of previously boiled lukewarm water into the sterilized bottle. Fill the provided scoop by pressing it against the can, then scrape off the excess with the flat edge of a knife. Add one level scoop of powder to every 60 ml of water. Mix until completely dissolved. Check the temperature of the formula before feeding your baby. Discard any leftover formula once breastfeeding begins. Additional feedings should be stored in the refrigerator (between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius) for 24 hours.
